Nightingale presents a novel addition to San Francisco’s Financial District, introducing a contemporary fern bar concept. During its developmental phase, proprietors Brian Sheehy and Dough Dalton sought a visual identity that pays homage to the esteemed legacy of fern bars prevalent during the 1970s and 80s. The visual identity goals include: Reflect the history of a traditional fern bar, represent the natural organic elements of a fern, feel light and airy to contrast the style of the surrounding Tiki and Whiskey bars in the area, and Incorporate the golden gate’s official color “International Orange.”
